So I'm trying to hack this game with Cheat Engine. I load the process, find the value I want to change and change it to my desired number. When i go back to the game the number has changed but its only visual. For example i change the amount of coins i had and it showed me as having 100 mill coins but when i went to buy something with the coins, nothing happened. Am i doing something wrong? or does cheat engine just not work on some games. The game uses Shockwave Flash

If its an online game thats server sided, you wont be able to do it by simply changing an address value.
Or have you got the correct address? some games have a separate address for the visual so you might just be changing that one.

Sometimes, games like that you want to cheat, only put in screen what you have changed in number,
but other codes control what you want to change for real.

In your case, you hacked that screen number, but not the REAL ammount of coins the game hides.

Try another method when you spend or gain those coins and search for UNKNOWN values
