It won't do any effect for the good.
You might fake speed, or file size, but it will be ONLY visual.

Would the faked speed get sent to the tracker? If so, it's useful. (as long as you don't get caught by whichever tracker you're cheating.)

Well, I mean. The torrent client still sends a value to the tracker. If you modify that value, that should be what gets sent, no?

Yes it does I assume (not using torrents at all).
But using C.E to speedup downloads will not work, nor 'uploading' faster.

Well yes, obviously. You can't cheat your lines capability :P
I was speaking about trackers, specifically private ones. Where there's a ratio requirement to be able to continue using the service. 'Cheating' an upload speed would help you boost that ratio.
(Although you would most likely get caught and banned)

| For boosting the ratio I would rather investigate the network traffic being sent. You could manipulate that one directly instead of editing the memory of the program.

Yeah, that's a more 'direct' way I suppose. But it seems to me that it'd be harder.
