Trimming audio files - which program do you guys recommend?

I have a few mp3 files that would sound a whole lot better without their intros, so I wanted to ask you guys, do any of you know of a reputable program that can do this and has an active/semi-active development team?

I was hoping MediaMonkey could do this, which is what I use for lossless audio format conversions, but it seems as if it can't.

Audacity, it's a quick download and gets the job done, not many frills.
