I've searched the site a bit and I've only found a couple topics on using cheat engine on an Android. I'm fully rooted running Cyanogenmod 9.1 and this phone has a ARMv7 cpu. I understand you have to do this over the network, I just need help getting the file to the proper directory and running it. I think need to change the permissions on the xbin folder but I can't seem to do it. If I could even get a link to another thread where it's already explained that'd be good too and no I do not wanna use that pos gamechi.
There's something else called gameguardian that works better than chi, I believe.
I haven't tried it since my phone is practically impossible to root.
If you're rooted then it might be worth a try before fiddling with CE.
That app was removed from the store and the website blows. It took me a couple of mins just to find the download button. From my experience apps removed from the store are the best. I'll try this one out but I'd still rather use CE in the long run.

Gameguardian is definitely better than gamechi in some aspects but CE takes the cake.
I've managed to run and connect to my phone so I'm going to try to explain what I did for anyone else who may find this.
Requirements:
I transferred the CE server to my SD card and quickly found out I couldn't run it from there. So I mounted /system/xbin as r/w with root file explorer (there is a command to do this as well I was just too lazy to look it up) and changed the permissions of that directory so I could execute the CE server (chmod 777 /system/xbin) I then navigated to where I downloaded the CE server (for me I used cd /mnt/emmc/ceserver-linux_arm_android) and moved it to the xbin directory (mv ceserver-linux_arm_android /system/xbin). Now all I had to do was run the server ("cd /system/xbin" & "ceserver-linux_arm_android") and connect to it over the network (File>Process List>Network>Connect) via cheat engine of course!
It's also worth noting that you'll probably have to give your terminal emulator app superuser permissions. This is done by issuing the command "su" and selecting accept when the app requests the permission.
Well shit this thread helped me soo much I'm on a rooted s3 and kept getting errors and such from the sd moved to system and r/w mounted worked like a charm thanks
