lul, I knew you'd derep me for that. But yeah I never could get into them as a kid, I bet if I played them now I'd enjoy them, but idk. Watched a friend stream the first 2 the other day and I just wasn't feelin the "I'd like to play this".

The first game wins on the atmosphere clearly. The Gothic environment paired with the RE-esque occasional scares is just awesome. Only if you can look past the graphics though. 2 is different from the rest of the games but wins on enemy design - most other things in that game are lackluster. 3 wins on story (story isn't that great in the games anyways.) 4 wins on combat system. If you're looking for a great - and fun - game to play then I'd suggest 4. Devil May Cry 4. (No, don't play it on easy or normal. Go hard or go home.)
