its basically your body protecting you from fucking yourself up. During intercourse (or in your case masturbation, lol) the bladder is "locked off" via a muscle. Basically it's a mechanism so you don't piss inside of your rape victim and also so that semen doesn't get into your bladder. It can be circumvented but I don't know why you would.
