Cheat Engine

I've been trying to use the cheat table posted by Recifense for Fallout: New Vegas in this thread forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=522976 but the last update to the table was for version 1.2.0.314

dental later posted the updated hack points for the current version 1.4.0.525 but I don't quite understand where in the script I am supposed to add or what lines I am supposed to replace in order to get the script working.

Is there anywhere I can read a tutorial on what the various lines in a script relate to or is there anyone who can give me a hand in understanding what I should be changing with the updated information to get the script working? Thanks for any help you can provide.
