well im quite confused that after I find the value of something and edit it, the visual effect of the value changed, but the (i suppose) the data does not change at all,

i mean, for example:
in a game, i had 300 gold, then i find the data that determine the ammount of gold and change to "XXX" number. from visual, the amount of gold has changed to "XXX", but when i try to buy something more than 300 gold, it told me i had not enough gold, if i buy an item with 100 gold, the amount of "XXX" gold will revert to 300 gold-100 gold= 200gold

how can i make the value of the data ACTUALLY changed?

it's server sided so the stuff is actually stored on the server and not your computer thus making it seem like you're really changing it but in reality it's just a hallucination
