Well long story short I'm sort of now really curious about how devil trigger works in new DmC. I've tried increase/decrease/changed I get some stable addresses over and over again but... they don't do anything. I would imagine some of them are statistics others I have no idea.
Once... I found visual somewhere in a large batch 500 or so addresses but that batch didn't do anything to actual DT gauge. And I crashed as soon as it increased so meh.
And another thing. There's a code that's used by a lot of things. I need only 2 things from it though. If I try to get addresses from it... game crashes REALLY fast. Any way to extend the life cycle of that particular function?
Mainly I just want to get as much specific states out of it as I can to get proper cmp functions for a script.
But still.... priority for me is getting devil trigger address. Any ideas, advice. I know there is already a fairly decent trainer out with that function but trainers are set in stone even good ones.
edit: Well.... I finally dug out the 2 visual addresses.... I guess more proficient folks would backtrace it to something useful. I'm sure visual at some point reads from real value... but for me that's impossible rofl >_>

Maybe you should do the opposite. When you gain more DT, do "decreased scan"...
Worth a try.

Heh I did it both ways increase and decrease.... heck I went as far as doing changed value. All I can find is the visual. Granted changed never really went low enough to properly check all addresses before I crash.
Even visual was a bit tricky because if you have empty bar and first few hits that don't really show/change visual my first few attempts ended up loosing visual addresses.
Or maybe the value is a bit quirky... like style rank. My original idea that style would be regular float count value, due to how style "fills" at each level was wrong. Its a plain 4 byte integer from 0 to 7 the whole gradual filling/draining is purely visual.

use visual, you can find the real one through it
since the real one connected to visual (else how would it know how to write the value?)

Wish I knew how to do that heh... Unfortunately that is way beyond my knowledge. I poked around for a bit around that particular part start to end. Wasn't a big chunk of code but... well... assembly is still mostly alien language to me. I remember I had a "it sounded like a brilliant plan" looked for all stacks with that specific offset.... found too many. Poked around for a bit more and went to bed. I'm still curious on how its stored considering how easy it was to find health... well not so easy to make enough cmp checks to avoid all the other nonsense, had some issues with hp script borking some mechanics but fixed those and I still think theres some things that over lap considering how unstable pointers from it look. But anyway.... while 1 bar was a work of about 2 minutes to find... and few hours to make a script (mostly because i suck and can't even put popfd in the right place) the other bar seems like its on a whole new bloody level.
And dt gauge is pretty much the only thing I cared from the start. I just poked around to get some scripts for ppl out before I even got to DT... if I did get to DT first and poked in that direction probably would have abandoned this by now lol.
Maybe im asking wrong question... I've been trying to use ce tutorial with a bar... to see if I can find the real value from visual value...hmm

If I post the Infinite Devil Trigger trainer that I have created here, would you guys donate me some money?
I have tested it, and it worked on every mission.
