No headset is really worth the price, but I would eat those up if they were a gift.

9/10 times sennheiser are good. I just bought a pair of HD201 for listening to music and they sound really good for 25 bucks. Compared to the Creative HS800 I had, they are much better. Only 40mm drivers though.

any $40 pair of headphones and $5 mic sounds better

Yeah get a 99c mic and velcro it to the side of a decent pair of phones lol.
