Hello,

I've been using CE for a long time now, but only for basic addresse research and change value.

But now, I want to learn new stuff and expand my knowledge, so I've started learning pointers to be able to make my own CE trainer and cheat table. Of course, when you learn new stuff, you usually get stuck on a problem and need help, so here I am, looking for help to my problem ^^

I am trying to make my own trainer and/or cheat table for the new game "Aliens Colonial Marines" and so I am learning pointers stuff. For the moment, I just want to add an unlimited ammo option. I've been able to find the addresse and pointers attached to the ammo value. In fact, even the trainer I've build work fine. But the problem is, if I close the game and relaunch it, the pointers in my trainer are not working anymore (0x000000) and from what I've read, the pointers are supposed to avoid that problem. It supposed to still be working if I relaunch the game, no ?

So either I've misunderstand how pointers are supposed to work, and they are saved only when a loading screen happen (without quitting the process), either I have a pointers problem Confused

If pointers don't work, use Auto Assembler Wink

Find out what writes to Ammo address, and replace it with NOP..
You can also write to it a fixed value..

That means your pointer is bad. Perhaps there are more levels(Have you tried the multilevel pointer tutorial?), or the offset isn't correct, or you picked the wrong base address

Yeah, I've tried the multilevel, but it looks like it is a level1 and there is no offset (0), also I am pretty sure it was the good address. I guess I was doing something bad Confused

I've tried the Auto Assembler way, and it is awesome ! It is working fine, but I encounter an other problem while I am trying to improve my script. I will post an other thread tomorrow about it, where I will post my script and my problem.

Also is that game a Flash?

If by Flash Game you mean action script game (like web browser game) then no ^^
