factor the bottom
get a common denominator (by multiplying all the factors that they don't have)

Now, they should ALL have a common denominator, so you can just erase it, or ignore it.

Now, multiply whatevers left and solve.

( (x+3)*(12x^2+3x) - (3x+5)*(8x^2-2x) ) * (16x^2-1) = (8x^2-2x)*(12x^2+3x)*(1-2x)

( (12x^3 +3x^2+36x^2+9x - 24x^3 + 6x^2 - 40x^2 + 10x) * (16x^2 -1)) = (96x^4+24x^3-24x^3-6x^2) * (1-2x)
( (-12x^3 +5x^2+19x) * (16x^2 -1)) = (96x^4-6x^2) * (1-2x)

-192x^6 + 80x^4 + 316 x^3 -5x^2 - 19x = 96x^4 - 6x^2 - 192x^5 + 12x^3

-192x^6 +192x^5 - 16x^4 + 304 x^3 + x^2 - 19x = 0

-192x^6 +192x^5 - 16x^4 + 304 x^3 + x^2 - 19x = 0

there, use ruffini to solve that equation.
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-192x^6+%2B192x^5+-+16x^4+%2B+304+x^3++%2B+x^2+-+19x+%3D+0

you know what, forget it. I did mess up somewhere.

trying again

( (x+3)*(12x^2+3x) - (3x+5)*(8x^2-2x) ) * (16x^2-1) = (8x^2-2x)*(12x^2+3x)*(1-2x)

((x+3)*3x(4x+1) - (3x+5)*2x(4x-1) ) * (16x^2-1) = 2x(4x-1)*3x(4x+1)*(1-2x)

-x (4 x-1) (4 x+1) (12 x^2-5 x-19) = -6 x^2 (2 x-1) (4 x-1) (4 x+1)

-16 x^4+304 x^3+x^2-19 x = 0

there

with some help of wolframalpha

x1) -1/4
x2) 0
x3) 1/4
x4) 19
