Hi, ce is an awesome tool but there are some bugs that are really annoying to work around in some situations.

1. Sometimes Ce just stops refreshing the values in the bottom list.
It also stops re-writing the frozen values to the game.

Those two things can sometimes be triggered when the process is closed, then reopened, and then Ce is attached to the new gameinstance (keeping the cheat table obviously)

2.
The tab order in the Add address manually window is not correct.

3.
In the memory view (bottom part of the disassembler) when the display type is anything else than Byte Hex you cannot select and add addresses to the list. This is really annoying since you always need to switch back to byte hex when you want to add an address but want to view the memory in float or 4byte decimal for example.

4.
"Stack View" doesn't display strings anymore (or misses most of them) in its secondary column. In earlier versions this worked correctly.
Strangely the Tracer window shows correctly...

I'm using the latest build(6.2) download from the site (not compiled myself)

Builds posted by me or not? (I posted few builds in "Source" forum section)

You can try this build from 2013 Jan 29 (3 days ago).

32bit and 64bit, revision 1652, downloaded from SVN & compiled, AS IS:
http://www.mediafire.com/?buo6aw8gy4bvtcn
mirror:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwMAnE6mjogMYUU4S25mRGlGREk/edit

So you can check bugs you found are fixed already or not.

Don't use LUA (it's unfinished).

Hi there, thanks for uploading this version. I tested it in the last days.
Sadly all the bugs I mentioned are still present in your version.

The refresh interval, under settings, can be changed as another alternative for 'kick-starting' CE back in gear. This is only a temporary workaround.

The trainers made by CE do not have this problem, fortunately.

@GNIREENIGNE: Yeah I noticed that, but it only works sometimes!
In my case its more likely that this trick is not working.

I have more information about the bug though.
The Memory Viewer will have this problem or not depending on the address it's set to.

I have Ce open right now; the old version, because mgr.inz.Player's compile has more bugs it seems, I get access violation even when I just want to change the name of a found address.

Anyway, I can change the memory viewer between 2 addresses and on one address it has this bug where the memory only refreshes when the game does not have focus.
When I right click on the other address and select "browse this memory region" then the memory view change back to an un-bugged state and refresh always!

So the refresh issue is somehow related to the memory address being watched.

I hope this gets fixed soon Smile

1: I can never reproduce this. Are you using windows XP or later? (I don't think it works good on windows 9X or 2000 )
Or do you have anything installed that might be hijacking system messages ?

2: Ok, ill fix that

3: It's on the list of stuff to add

4: Have you tried rightclicking the stackview window and choose one of the other options? It might be it's default is set to moduleaddresses only.
But I'll check it out

1:
I'm using win7 x64, but the 32bit executable of CE.
And I'm pretty sure I don't have any programms that place global windows hooks that might grab "wm_*" messages (if that is what you meant).

I will keep searching for stuff that triggers this, but it only happens rarely :/

You can change the values under Settings->General: UpdateInterval, FreezeInterval, ListUpdateIntervall.
Sometimes (for other people most of the time) this fixes the bug for a few minutes.

4: I'll see if that helps. thanks for the tip.

Changing the freeze interval fixes this issue for me, every time. The fix is not permanent.

I am running windows 7 home premium SP1, 64-bit. I am running the 64-bit version of CE as administrator.

I experience this problem quite often. I might say that the problem occurs only after I've had CE open for some time, but I have not tested this theory. Whether or not it occurs only when I am writing new cheats and scanning etc., I couldn't say.
