now, i don't mean to validate shrooms but rather explain his condition with a proposed theory. what if his brain is functioning at such a high level to the point of overloading his mind that he is simply unable to comprehend basic logic which directly results in abstract thinking. couple this with delusions, a feeling of understanding things other people don't (when it's the exact opposite), and unable to see the clear line between rational and out of the box thinking. |

My own viewpoint of shrooms is a mixed bag. On one hand, because this is f=16, I don't take anything he says too seriously, nor do I fully think that he actually believes what he says, but there's always a chance he does.
From my perspective, Shrooms has rationalized that because the only way that the world can "exist" in any form is if he is there to witness its existence. Without him there to witness it, how could it be witnessed? In this sense, how could anything actually exist separate from himself? From here he goes to figured that he must be God, because all of the world in contained within him. Everyone who isn't him must be nothing more than an extension of himself.

while i agree with this, i also believe you are merely scratching the surface. you're explaining his reasoning behind what he says, but you're not going into the core issue; why his brain functions the way it does. i'm not really being serious when i say what i'm saying. i'm just on a sick one tonight. i go through manic waves (not in the sense of bipolar manic) just something that happens with people who used a lot of meth. my lows are functioning slightly above average than the normal human and my highs are functioning far above a normal human to the point of getting too carried away. imagine being able to think so far out of the box that you've lost the box yet at the same time being aware that you are way out of the realm of reality. i begin thinking like shrooms but i NEVER fully believe it and i RARELY share these thoughts with others. |
I've thought like Shroom's before too, mainly as a way of entertaining notions of things that might be. Especially when you weigh in things like quantum mechanics and wave collapse, you start to get the idea that there's something intrinsically important about you being there to be conscious of the world.
I think you're right though, if we assume he actually believes what he does and he isn't just trolling, then his brain might just be different from other's. Because while I've thought similarly to him (maybe I am the creator of everything in my world), I could never bring myself to fully believe in these thoughts. It seems more logical to believe that the world exists independent of me. All of human history was not created the second I was born, for example, even though I could never prove that this is so, as I only ever have my perception of the world to go on.
@ shrooms: Working from the context of your reality, do you think that the npcs in your world have a viewpoint of their own where they take in input from the world around them?

Join the political revolution change can come! Some people have given up already I wont single people out, but there are still many many people fighting for Bernie.
Try not to isolate yourself because my friends and I see this as a direct path to depression although it seems to be fulfilling at first. Find people that relate to your interests and make you happy because life isn't all about procreating. Try to be real with yourself and still see the world through others viewpoints it helps a lot.
