|
|
This topic is meant to be read by DarkByte :)
To get straigth to the topic:
I would find it extremely useful, if you had an option that cheat engine searches "in pointers".
So if a pointer is like this:
[[[BasePointer] + 1stOffset] + HealthOffset]
[[[BasePointer] + 1stOffset] + ManaOffset]
so that Cheat Engine always gets the Baseaddress of the values and then continues the search :) (So it internally doesn't handle with absolute addresses but with offsets (like HealthOffset & ManaOffset)
This way it makes it way easier to find out what offset is what :)
If you change your player for example the addresses of your Health and stuff changes and this way one could find out the "playerId" which only changes if one changes the player, but then the address of the values change.
I hope you understand my shitty english and ofc hope that you can realize that :)
Thanks in advance,
Mi4uric3

I don't really understand what you mean.
You want to use offsets to scan, to find out what the offsets are?
Have you tried the structure dissect lock option ?
find the id, dissect the structure, lock the column
Change the player, find the id again, add a second column and set that to the new address
Now you can compare the player structure and find what is what

I guess this is what I meant :) Didn't know about this feature..
I will try it out and let you know, thanks!

The problem is, if I change the player, the Structure Dissecter updates the values and all of them will be 0 after changing the player..

that's why you must lock the structure dissecter columns
rightclick the address and choose "lock" before you change the player
that way the values will stay
