Thanks for the help on the computer parts.
The only thing that was changed out was the RAM (parents decided to surprise me by getting me 32GB of RAM instead of 8 ), the HDD and the optical drive. The optical drive has yet to arrive, though (installing windows without an optical drive sucked)
Heres the end specs. Thanks much. I'd +rep you if it was possible.
P.S.: "Building a PC is easy. It's like lego" was a total lie. Plugging in a PSU to everything for someone who's never built a PC before sucked dick.

I questioned it too.

...are you being serious? I find installing it without an optical drive to be a lot easier and faster. Everytime I burn a Windows ISO, I always have to do the slowest setting, or it fucks up, USB's are a lot less frustrating and easier when it comes to installing OS'es.

hm psu was actually one of the easiest parts for me my first time (hardest being the fucking motherboard back plate, second being doing cable management correctly I guess) , just atx, gpu, fans and hdd
glad to help tho bro
howd you install windows, just a usb stick? theres a program that makes that really easy.

I wanted to remove the optical drive from my gateway but couldn't because of the damn case back being WELDED. I ended up just plugging the PSU and sata cables into the gateway disk drive and using that temporarily to get the basics out of the way. Until optical comes in im using an external that my parents lent me for drivers and whatnot.
