I was trying to use Cheat Engine to speed up downloads on Steam on my Toshiba laptop but every time I click on "enable speedhack", steam crashes. Any way to solve this issue?

Because steam is showing estimated time, what is calculated from your internet speed and the file size you're downloading. I don't know why exactly it crashes, but the estimated time is affected by your internet speed, not of random steam code.
