I'm at an interesting roadblock on the realm of trying to hack some of the more popular flash-based games and thought I would look to other minds in regards to what is going on behind the scenes. Here's my case in point so bare with me while I explain a little bit:

It seems to be a general consensus that server-sided hacking is next to nearly impossible unless you can hack the packets being sent back and forth between the user and the server containing the information for health, money, etc. and it maintain the hacked information instead of reverting back to its original state that is based on the server. That being said, a few really strange questions come to light.

1. I recently stumbled onto a Farmville 2 hack that allows you to input two different array of byte strands and then modify them accordingly to turn the "Farm Bucks" into "Farm Coin" within the market and other areas. While this hack is in place, you can purchase upgrades, X number of items, etc. based on the amount of coin you have and it essentially makes your farm bucks total the actual coin amount you have. The two array of byte strands provided by the original hacker are this: "40 42 0F 00 40 42 0F 00 00 00 00 00" and "29 00 00 00 29 00 00 00 00 00 00 00". Where did the hacker get these #s and how could one locate them in another server sided game such as Farmville or Marvel Avengers Alliance?

Does these same two array of bytes exist in every server sided game? No, but I'm sure there are similar. Anyone care to enlighten me on where to locate or how to find them as a starting point.

2. There is a proven hack for Cityville 2 that allows you to go into the Market and get the # of keys it takes for one to get 100,000 coins. Could the same concept be done for other games such as Farmville 2, etc.? I've been tinkering with these games and Cheat Engine for a few days now and have been able to pick a value that is static or doesn't change (say the cost of an upgrade of land or something) and get results but it usually is in the 10,000+ range. Is there an easier way to go about isolating a few of those strands. I've went through the tut a few times in regards to using CE and none of the scenarios deal with multiple initial results when looking for a string to deal with. I know this seems a bit "noobish" but there has to be some method to break them down into smaller sets to work with.

I know this seems like a lot of information but I have been playing around with this for a few days now and even searched around and not found any solid answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is more a curiosity perk than anything and wanting to know how the cause and effect plays out on something.

Hi HEdwar2012

In regards to the Farmville 2 and Cityville hacks you mentioned.

How are they implemented? Is it using a table in cheat engine, or an executable..? Is it possible to decompile these cheats to get the answer you are looking for?

Can you give me a reference to these cheats so I can check them out?

Thanks.

They are essentially using a table that is created when you launch the game.

This is the information I have on it.

Quote:
Open cheat engine and select flashing pc and search for flashplayer plugin
This is important that you take the second line!

Again not the first one!

iff you r running Explorer use the Second Explorer line Plugin,Same with google Crome ,
always use the second line,Then just follow all the steps on the tutorial!Good luck!

Next change 4 bytes to array of bytes.
now you need 2 codes (discription) :

1. Code = 40 42 0F 00 40 42 0F 00 00 00 00 00
2. Code = 29 00 00 00 29 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

First copy and paste the First code starting with 40 42 ...

Make shure it is on array of bytes and HEX is vinked,
then go paste in the empty space next to value and press first scan

The results r different from person to person its computer
Some have 4 lines some 5 ore 6 it does not matter

Just select them all and dragg them down!

Then copy the second code starting with 29 00 00 ...
do the same with it like the first code.

Select all the results in the box below and click right, search for change record en klick on TYPE,
Now change the number "12" to "16"

now notice that the numbers below are longer than before,

You need to rite down the LAST 8 DIGITS of the BODEM LINE (The line starting with 29 00 00...)
Make shure you use the digits with different numbers,NOT the 00 00 00 00 ones

Rite them down in the Value box and klick first scan

Copy the results and put them in the box below.

now select all the last added results and change the value to the last 8 digits of the first line
(starting with 40 42 0F ...)

Go to your farmville and enjoy!

Again, I'm not the original author but thought I would try it to see if it actually worked and it did. If there was a method to find out the initial array of bytes used in other FB games maybe its possible.

There is also one for Cityville 2 running around that has been proven working where it changes keys to coins using a similar method but the initial variable is unique from player to player but is easy to find because it is a odd # such as 483 or so.
