Ubuntu really is good.
To my experience it's a lot faster than Windows, has a nice interface, and has some nice features like taking a screenshot of only the active window etc.
By using WineBottler you can use most Windows programs.
If you're a gamer get Windows.
If you're a huge computer nerd, get Linux.
If you're something in between, get Ubuntu (and have Windows on a spare partition just in case).
If you're an artist, get Mac.

Art isn't a reason to get a Macintosh; iOS development is.

And can I get photoshop for Ubuntu?
