How do I cheat?

When I make the first scan I gives me loads of choices , but when I enter the new number and press next scan it gives me 0 results.
Any help?

As starting to use cheat engine I thought , maybe I should try and hack good old dragonfable , the value was 5 (shitload of choices)then after the change 12 then I pressed next scan and guess what scan found NOTHING.
Also I tried the tutorial and the same thing happened I wrote the number 100 then first scan (loads of choices), I pressed hit me then wrote the number 97 in the value text thing , and then I got none found AGAIN.

Try Double, Floating types also!.
