Sue's imaginings only seem to make sense when loosely interpreted, similar to how a somnambulist (sleep-walker) does actions which he would normally do in a state of full consciousness unconsciously, but do not make any sense when logically analyzed and literally interpreted (also like how a sleep-walker would not realize why they did their actions while sleep-walking or even if they had done anything in their sleep in the first place).
