Cheat Engine

Hello!

I'm new (as most posters here are), and I've been trying to get to the bottom of heroes in Heroes of Might & Magic V. The end result would be hacking the number and type of units in each of the hero's slots - but as it turned out, that was way above my pay grade as a first timer.

So I thought, "Alright, I'll go through the experience points to the root of the 'hero-object' and search my way through that way".

So now I've been trying to use the pointer scanner to locate the root experience pointer.

Trouble is, that every time I start the game, when I relocate my first experience address - It's the same address as before. The exact same. I have reloaded the save game, I have restarted the game, I have restarted the computer. The first dynamic address to the experience value is always the same... What is going on here? I'm guessing it's not really meant to be like this and it might (should) change, so coding something off that dynamic address is wrong and stupid(?).
