It obviously wasnt for the viewer in that context, it was for the one who said they should run, in which he was replied to by stating thats impossible.

| The person who said that was playing the "straight man" role, it's common in japanese slapstick for there to be a straight man who points out the obvious and makes rational corrections and often gets irritated. He is usually the butt of the jokes or walks into them.

this is true too, I just didn't think of it because the only context we had for what this person said was ops quote
