Once Windows 8 rolls around, they definitely will. Rumors are that Windows 8 is going to be a closed platform. If it is, every single program/game will have to be bought on the "Windows Market," everything on which Microsoft can take up to 30% commission.

Lots of developers, Gaben at the forefront, have already stated that they most likely will not develop for Windows 8.

Yeah, we get it, Windows 8 is crap. But, you realize how hard it is to develop a proper game in Linux, and how little engines support it? Everybody is still gonna stay on the Windows 7 bandwagon.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for the 2,500 games on Steam to run on Linux as well. It’s a hedging strategy,” he said. “I think Windows 8 is a catastrophe for everyone in the PC space. I think we’ll lose some of the top-tier PC/OEMs, who will exit the market. I think margins will be destroyed for a bunch of people.”

Keep posting facts and everything, but my statement holds true. Yes, there will be a lot of Linux games, and yes engines will be created and what not for Linux, but there's one small detail. Major games that are already released use their own custom (or modified) engine, and I doubt they'll spend money to re-code and re-release their games to Linux.
