Why in C when I divide the following numbers: 230 / 114, returns 2.0000... ?

And when I divide them in the calculator, it shows some decimals... (2.01754386)

This code must work (I guess):

You need to think about the order

First the integer 230 is divided by the integer 114 (2)
Then that result is converted to a floating point (2.0)
And then printed to the screen


try this:
(float)230/(float)114

or this
230.0f/114.0f
