Cheat Engine

Hello, I thought this problem was related to Civ 5 at first but it appears I originally posted in the wrong place. Anyway...

I was using the table w/o any problems one day and after ending one scenario and starting another I noticed the cheats not working after starting the new game even after re-activating the table and changing 0/1 on values.

So I closed CE and restarted the table but after the message "do you want to load/merge the table" or whatever I got another one. First time I ever saw it. Something like "Do you want to deactivate something without actually having it deactivated". I had no idea what it was asking or why so I chose "yes" because maybe I did want it deactivated since it wasn't working already. lol It was sometime ago and I can't remember the wording used or else I'd have Goolge'd it.

Now, with CK2 and uninstalling/reinstalling CE 6.2 the tables will still not let me click the "Active" box. I've checked all settings I could think of that seem relevant also no threads I've seen dealt with this issue or any similar. Any suggestions why I can't activate the check box?
