I think cheatengine isnt a big virus cuz my AV, AVG detects its a spyware & infected ONly if i scan it...help i can't trust it still...REPLY

If I did put in a virus, I would say no, so you'd get infected
If I did not put in a virus, I would say no, to reassure you.

In both cases, my answer would be no

all I can say:
Cheat Engine is open source, if there is a virus in it, find it in the source, or compile it yourself

It is installed over 3 to 4 million times a month. If it did contain a virus or anything harmful (without the users consent), there would probably be a few more posts about it..

and the latest builds of ce have a digital signature by the Cheat Engine company. What virus writer would do that?

Dark Byte, there's simply no reason to waste your time providing an explanation to these people. No matter what you tell them it simply wont register, it's their choice whether to use it or not, simple as that.
When they're as thick as this, they shouldn't be using it in the first place lmao.

If it was a virus it would be either youtube video submitted by a bot, or just some blogspot page.

Proof it is not a virus

-Active forum with many people using it

-Scanned with MSE, no virus. Get a real AV that can find the difference between legit programs and a virus
