How do I get the value of a register at an address?

I have an address I got from a friend for my game, and I want to see what ecx is.

How could I see the value ecx?

I know how to change the registers, but I don't know how to see what they are.

Is this a data address or a code address?

If data, do a "find what accesses this address" and use more info on each entry

If code, do a "find out what addresses this instruction accesses" and rightclick each address and show the registers
