I've noticed with the Steam version of Sleeping Dogs, when you activate the speed hack, nothing seems to happen.

If you press escape to bring up the menu, it's beautifully slow, but yet the speed hack seems to have no other visible effect on the game.

I would like to ask, if there is a work around for this strange little quirk, and perhaps if someone else can try it and confirm my findings please?

To recap.
Game is at normal speed.
Enable %50 slower, speed hack.
Game still seems to run at normal speed.
In-game menus are slowed to %50 speed.

I've never come across this before and I hope you CE ninjas can help

After the 1.5 patch for Sleeping Dogs it seems to work perfectly again.
