How do I find the pointer for YAW and PITCH and X,Y,Z of player of an arbitrary first person game(Amnesia, Dead Island, Bioshock, etc.) using Cheat Engine 6.2?

I tried a lot but I haven't succeeded, yet. I presume there is a general good approach.

1. Stand still and scan unknown
2. Move one direction just a little then scan has changed

Repeat #2 over and over until you find the right one.
Also close by will be the others.
