I am trying to learn how to use CE's break point. My questions are,
what does break point on CE do? What are the return addresses for? What about those parameters? How can it useful?
Thanks |

A normal breakpoint will stop the program when it hits. For example a breakpoint on writes will stop the program when it has written to a specific address, and then shows you the state.
With this state you can see what called the function and in some cases what the parameters where to that function.
Information like this can be useful in writing code injection for a specific purpose, instead of nopping it
There are also breakpoints that don't stop the game, but just gather data, like find what accesses/writes which just store the state and continue the game, and a lua onBreakpoint function that can determine if it should really break, or just record the state and continue _________________
