because sadly enough more semi-popular games are out for mac than linux

If you want some basic memory scanning, try the network version

I uploaded two linux binaries for 2.6x (source in svn)
Run them and then go to process list->network, and fill in the ip of your system. (disabling the firewall or adding a rule is recommended)

it should then be able to do basic scans.
If you encounter errors, set the affinity of the client to only 1 cpu

But if you just want the binaries, they are in the download section of the website

C is not my main language so can probably be improved here and there. And I never worked with sockets, so that will certainly need some fixes

I'm on linux mint and even when I told tit to search for applications to execute the "type executable" file in the zip, it said "EXECUTABLE is not supported"

don't doubleclick it. You need to extract the zip to a real directory and in a console in that dir type ./ceserver-linux_i386 (you probably need to run that as root)

(and make sure you do a chmod to make it executable)

Or just try compiling the source

Dude I use C.E on a virtual machine. You should too! That way the only time to have to see crappy windows is when you are gaming or need to use C.E.

There is a Linux memory scanner called, well, Scanmem. Somebody made a CE-like GUI for it, Game Conqueror, which is pretty convenient. Though it lacks most features of CE and I'm not sure if Mint has it... Probably though
