I play Star Craft with my friends on the fastest map v3. We usually play 2 on 2. Here is the big problem, i get Zerg rushed by both players when the game starts. How do i stop a Zerg rush? My friends wont come to my aid on time, or are unwilling too. I usually play Zerg as well, though i always get butchered... I really need help defeting my rushing friends.

As well, my opponents start building next to me and churn out stupid zerglings all the time! He will sneak to my right and build, or more often, build at the exit of my base. He fortifies the area with sunken colonies. I am getting really pissed off at their stratigies, as well, i am perhaps the most noob player in Star Craft. Someone please help me with my problem. (If there is a thread similar or identical to this, sorry)

Hummm...imo:

well Zerg rushs are quite nasty, especially if done by two players at the same time. try to get the spawning pool really fast and build a few defenses and some zerglings but like really fast, you can stop the first wave no sweat with 7 sunken colonies but due to the time a few sunkens and a bunch of zerlings could do the trick... the other thing is luck, you can beat 1 opponent at the beggining but I really find it hard myself against 2.

For the other problem, you should be more agressive, expend a lot of ressources on you troops rather than evolutions and placing colonies near the resources outside your base, otherwise you'll lose really quick, that way they will learn to fear the swarm!!

keep practicing on being fast and getting tons of troops. good luck Smile

I don't know what hellthroat was talking about, but if you know that they will rush you, throw down a fast spawning pool and then make a creep colony -> sunken colony. It should hold off the initial rush no problem.

If it's a double zergling rush, try to get 2 sunken colonies up asap, or build 1 sunken and a couple lings. Worst comes to worst, you got 1 sunken and you pull your workers off the mineral line to fight.

step by step

as soon as the game starts spend the first 150 minerals on making three extra drones.

the next 200 minerals on a spawning pool

the next... shit i forgot the cost but build two sunkens and have six zerglings burrowed outside of your base (ahead of the sunkens)

as the zerglings come, let them attack the sunkens and then have your zerglings unburrow and ambush then.

Block your front door asap if you are terran or protoss, make ur own rush and counter atk when your zerg if its 2 v 1 rush against u, pull some drones from the mineral to help, its worth it if u survive

You can either chorno boost out a couple of zealots or you can wall off with 2 gates and something else for the rest of the gap. With the 2 gates you can chrono boost zealots out for when your wall breaks, then you can attack the zerglings.

It really depends on the race.

For terran: Wall off, make a supply depot, barracks, and a bunker near the entrance of your base... go early 2rax aggression with no gas and marines only

For protoss: Get units out faster... wall off using a gateway, pylon, and zealot... set up photon cannons
