Hello
I give myself administrator permission to access C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ and i was able to read it but i can't modify it. it says "You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from Administrator to make changes in this file" A guy named Justin, was able to modify apps on Windows 8 without any permission denied errors, but i have no idea how he did. he only tell us how to get read permission and not write permission. I have tried another way to give myself admin access but it did not work.
What i want to do is modifying the background image and colors on some apps like Justin did. I love modifying themes.
Well, how are we supposed to know who this Justin guy is...if you said Obama then we would know because he's the president of United States..
If its just about changing permissions then you can do that from windows explorer. Right click on the drive or the folder where that file is located (C:\) then goto properties > security tab and choose your login name that you use to login to windows then click edit. There select full control and click ok.
Now click advanced and change the owner to be your login user. Now you should be able to modify and edit/delete any file there. If you did this to a folder only then you will only have permissions for that folder, if its for the whole drive then you will have access to the whole drive. _________________
