holy fuck that was awesome
now I HAVE to go rewatch the anime,right now. and have been planning to reread the manga which Ill probably do really soon too
the thought condensing of berserk troubled me for the movie, but it was actually done well, only one part would not be understood by someone who has not read the manga and it was a very minor thing that they might expand on in the future movies in some sort of flash back. the CG did not bother me, since the plot follows exactly like the anime except condensed, it was good to see it in a new way
id have to agree with this review http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/berserk-ogon-jidai-hen-i/hao-no-tamago but of course like I said after watching the anime a lot, the cg doesn't bother me as much as someone who might have only watched the series once, whom might not notice the details and things that happen in the original

of course they dont look that great, the CG is better in motion, just showing its general feel
anyone that enjoyed the berserk anime or manga should watch the movie, if you dont know shit about berserk then id recommend watching the anime if you dont mind it, but if you want a short showing and idea of what it is then watch the movie since its only an hour long |

It's not well done, the CG is terrible and the constant transitions between CG and 2D is offputting; they ignore quite a lot from the manga.. waste of time. |

I wouldn't say that I disagree, but I would say it doesn't bother me, after watching the anime and reading the manga this is a good change, BUT if you have not done either then really you should watch the anime first. really if you want to go into this more I will, but for anyone that has watched and read the series, I dont see why you would dislike the movie, since you'd already know whats missing and would be able to go right into the action and the most memorable scenes,
not only that, but they are planning to do the entire manga, this arc is just the start, and just like the anime its a good enough way to start, it will get better later on I assume, but they are doing them somewhat quickely so the CG is not the best, but if they do well I can see another animated series instead of CG coming out again in the future, which of course would have been preferred to the CG even though I dont feel the CG is even that bad
