A few times a minute my mouse will randomly stop working for a second or two. I've turned off anything in power settings to do with USB suspension. Any ideas?

My amazing mouse has a flaw and cuts off sometimes, instead of buying a different amazing mouse I will buy a shit mouse that costs fucking huge amounts of money and has far too many buttons..?

Get one of the following mice:
Steelseries Sensei (Or the Xai if you like mice that are less heavy)
Microsoft IME 3.0
Zowie AM (EC2 aint bad either if you prefer the shape)
Razer Deathadder (Old, only good Razer mouse there is)

Or you could just send your G400 in for another and make do with it if it breaks again, like I am.

I have a CM Storm Sentinel and I'm well happy with it.. Its had some bad reviews and my first one had to go back after a month due to problems similar to what you had, but since replaced its brilliant, comfortable in my hand and very responsive.

Had a Razor before and I like my Storm alot better. Smile

I got the G700, and the mouse is amazing for me. Comfortable as hell, plenty of buttons, and very, very responsive.
Not to mention you can switch use it wirelessly or wired.
