| So I've had this aleinware laptop for two months now (I bought it new) and it could play just about anything. Even TF2. But since earlier today it has been making this clunking and screeching sound near the HDD and also in the fan. Any ideas?

something might of got in your laptop and clogged something up. i suggest opening it carefully (so you don't completely screw your laptop up) and check if anything isn't right. Also you might want to check a forum like tom's hardware. there are solutions to lots of computer problems on there.

as an alienware, it better have at least a 1 year warranty on it.

| It had a rock in it. I couldn't reach it without dislodging some important stuff so I just took and blew it out with a high powered can of compressed air. It went clunk against a few things before it got out, but now the fan won't turn on. I'm gonna just buy another. thnx guys. There is still that weird clunking screeching sound in the HDD though.

Probably damaged the harddrive while you were kicking the laptop around in a gravel pit.

hey guys i bougt a alienware and it can gets even 40fps in minesweeper like a boss
but then a rock got in the hard drive when i was playng while riding the tractor
gotta buy a new one

but after 2 days of having the cpu overclocked it started smelling like burning stuff
it turned off while i was playing a game and now it wont turn back on
alienware sucks bro it only lasted 2 days this shit is terrible i dont recommend it to anyone
