you can collapse the unneeded function calls...

but i know what you mean, don't even trace/show them to save time.
for example if you want to trace a function that makes calls to other functions that take a really long time, then it would be better to disable tracing inside the called function, and then reenable it when the thread is in the original function again.

is that what you mean?
if so, yes that feature would be really handy sometimes!!

Not only it takes time, sometimes it is necessary if the in between call contains more than 30,000 lines of code or contains many big/infinite loops.
But I have got no comments from Dark Byte for this, yet.

I also face this problem too. I set trace count to 50000 and still i don't come out that call.

perhaps in 6.3

For now, just instead of using break and trace use lua and use step_over and Continue
