Look at my video to see exactly what I'm doing to produce the Error...

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP
Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

Samsung computer

I'm not sure if it's an error or I'm doing something wrong. I'd really like to hack Skyrim.

use the console for Skyrim it's very much easier.
just type a batch of all cheats you'll use and then run batch very easy.

I'm aware of the console for skyrim. I'm interested in hacking it myself for the shear fun of it. I want to build a trainer in C++ as a learning project for myself. Also, the console has certain limitations, such as not being able to permanently set skills up--it appears as a green font when uped via the console and upper level perks do not become accessible.

Either way, the problem with Cheat Engine still exists. I am curious in the technical side as to why Cheat Engine does not search through all addresses. It should... the address is right there in Cheat Engine's table that I have added. I don't know why it won't locate the value.

The quality is quite bad and I can't really make out the address you're changing.
If it ends with anything besides 0, 4, 8 or c, it won't find it if fastscan is enabled with a alignment of 4

Anyhow, to to settings and enable the mem_mapped memory region

also, make a screenshot of memoryview->view->memory regions with the region highlighted with the address it won't find

I made a mistake about the skill settings, I was using the wrong console command. Well, it's for learning anyways.

Also the limitations which I am talking about are the fact that you cannot undo certain things, i.e. take away perks that you've already enabled. For people that want to "adjust" their character, but don't want to feel too guilty (take the fun out of the game) about cheating.

Dark Byte, thanks for the reply. I tried to reproduce the results I had their, but I was unable to as of yet. If it comes up again later I will be sure to get a screenshot of that.

For the fast scan part, I had disabled that many times. I had tried variations of the settings while searching.

Also, the address containing the value was [0018E788] containing a value of 0X0018E9B4 .... both line up to the fast scan, 0 4 8 c rule you and mentioned.... Though I tried doing the search without fast scan.

Well, if it happens again I will take more screenshots... my video is pretty poor quality I can see... hahaha... uhhhhh
