This seems like a good book for newfags i guess, or if anyone could recommend me a solid one that covers the basics.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/sim-explorer/explore-items/-/0321246950/0/101/1/none/purchase/ref=pd_sxp_r0

I plan on investing a lot of time into it. hopefully one year from on now and i'll be programming space ships.

I think it is not grammatically incorrect to say in youtube.
on youtube was what you were expecting, I know but I just don't find it logically incorrect.

Nah it is BLEGH. It's alright as a reference every now and then, but the tutorials and examples that come with are not. Pretty sure every other line of code in their tutorials is "using namespace std;"
