To be honest, when i first looked at it, I thought that his tail was his butt. Good touch on the lines and facial works. Altough i must say, you need to balance your outlining; eg. if it's going to be thick and dark, you should stick with that. Another thing is you should compliment your drawing with shadowing techniques even though you are just practising.

This drawing is obviously not meant to be shaded...
And the thick+thin outlines is fine, but OP just executed it poorly.

I disagree, I think it looks like that for comedic effect.
7/10 pretty good.
