It's fucking fantastic. When you start, you pick a team to join. I found 15 or so in louisiana with my play style, but broadened it to the US. Joined a fledgling team based in Ohio, The 88th Raven Corps. From that point on you are always, ALWAYS connected to your team. Every mission you do, every action you take, they can join. From 2 player story or order missions to full blown 5 player infiltration or 5 on 5 defense missions that conquer surrounding territory. The more you get done, the higher your team rank. The Higher the team rank, the more parts available to buy and missions available. The overseer of the team can edit the maps of territories you conquer to make defending easier. You can also register as a merc and get hired by other teams across the world. Matching is almost instantaneous after you open yourself to merc work. Mic support and clarity are great and now I have a reason to get a headset.
Also, i think there's like 500+ available parts in this one...
So the slightly related end question is, what headset should I get? I'm getting a new radio and maybe an amp for my car, then going to buy a headset after. Budget will probably be 100 bucks.

I have really nice headphones, just need a mic reccomendation then. Preferable something that can connect to the headphones somehow.

Ignore the earbud, go to hobby lobby, buy two little velcro dots and attach one to earbud, other to headphones, bam working headset that's of a higher build and sound quality for way cheaper than buying an actual headset.
It's the mic I use, and it's fantastic.

Build a headset using a hat, a mic (maybe wire a MIC Cart to the bill or something instead), and speakers.
