Cheat Engine

so i just downloaded CE 6.1 and tried starting it and i get the error message "C:\Users\USERNAME\Downloads\Cheatengine.exe is not a valid Win-32 program."

ive tried doing Run as Admin, no change, and i cant think of any other way to try fixing this, other than redownloading it, did that, no difference.

any trick im not aware of?

also, im running Windows 7

Run 'Cheat Engine.exe' and it will run the appropriate version of CE for your system.

i dont quite follow you there, how do you mean run it?

Either the file is corrupt, your anti-virus is acting up, or you're trying to run the 64-bit version of CE on a 32-bit version of Windows.

just tried running Properties on My Computer, says i got 64-bit system running and my anti-virus havent said anything other than "are you sure you wanna run this?" (well, that was Win7 saying that tho...)

so i guess the download link on cheatengine.org is corrupt?

Try adding an exception for CE in your AV's settings.

that changed a few things

it fixed it, and added 6MB to the download, haha.
