Ease up on the DTs and play macro games. You didn't use any of your gateways until his army was at your door, if you had kept probing up and pumping units you could've stomped his attack and destroyed him with a conventional gateway army. Also, expand behind your attacks. It was over when your DTs warped in his base, but it's good to get into the habit of expanding just in case your attack does not end him.

I'd say hotkey your Nexus to 4, and your original starting probe to 1. I usually bind robo facilities to 3 and stargates to 5 if I have them. You never have to look back to your base, just hit 4e early game to keep probing up, and control your scouting probe to give you as much harass and information as possible. Pull it out when a stalker is about to come out and leave it at the xel'naga tower. I would not advise walling off in PvP tbh. The only match up I wall off in is PvZ because zerglings are fast as fuck. Also, why forge after gateway? Build your cycore asap to get warp gate, stalkers and sentries. Cannons are a waste of money at this point in the game, and every cannon you build is a gateway that you didn't. Same with the forge, lvl 1 upgrades on a small army is not worth it. Might as well have a bigger army instead by having more gateways.

Ideally you want only 3 gateways (and maybe a robo if you want to be safe) off one base before you expand. Make sure to have game clock enabled and expand by the 8 minute joe. If all goes well, take the 3rd by the 12 minute joe.

Yeah I was just cheesing people to get highest ranked bronze. I'm finally to the point where I verse mid silvers/high silvers so they aren't full retards.

I just recently started working on macro along with the dts because I realized that that was my fatal flaw. I'm going to start extending a miniwall past my expansion and early exp and macro easily with stalkers/upgrades.

Also I just played a few 2v2's with Apo and we fucking raped lmfao. Him and Saucy used the same tactic we did.

I wouldn't recommend any sort of wall in PvP or PvT just because their units can shoot at the wall and be out of range of your units behind it. That would force your army to squeeze through the opening you have one at a time to engage unfavourably, and if they FF that opening and cut your army in half, it's almost bound to be gg.

Because I'm a slut for upgrades, I usually get double forges and chrono the shit out of them after I get around 4-6 gateways up on 2 bases.

I'm the same for upgrades. The only reason I wall is because I tech early and it prevents a full on push. Terran and protoss can snipe at the cost of losing their own units to base materials that I don't need by the time I have my tech.
