Hello, i lost my password on a very important program and i have to find it back no matter what !! i searched everywhere and i havent found anything, all the brute force password crackers are for specific programs, i didnt find anything that could crack my program, i attached a screenshot of the program.

If any of you can help me i would really appreciate it THANKS IN ADVANCE

This site is not for cracking commercial software. If you want access to the full application, then buy it.

Seeing that he lost the password stored in the memory of a physical device he owns I guess it can be discussed. But I doubt lua will be of any use here

I recommend writing a serial port communication program yourself and send password commands and see if one of them returns anything else than failure

(alternatively what can be done with lua:
make it click the edit box
make it type a password
make it click ok
repeat...
perhaps also a way to detect when it's correct...

Thanks for replying, I would love to write a program myself but unfortunately I don't know how to program Sad

What I thought of is your second option, but you don't recommend it, and I don't know if this could be asking too much since I have no idea how long it would take to code this.

The password is either 3 or 4 numbers,it shouldn't be hard at all to brute force it.

It`s up to you to decide if this post should stay alive or not !

Well, IDK what that program is, but you COULD try, in ida or ollydbg, search for the error message you get when you don't log in correctly and sort of see what references it, etc until you find a cmp instruction. After that should be a jne, jg, jl [etc] and you could change it to jmp [what was after it] in cheat engine. If that doesn't work, nop it.

You can also do that with ce (use the referenced strings option)

Anyhow, this isn't going to work , the password is stored 'server sided' (A device on the other end of a serial cable)

Is this for your work?

If you still need help with this let me know. We can work something out as I do freelance code work and am damn good at it.

Personally I would use Python using PyWinAuto or if it is a serial app then I would just use the serial port with Python. Either way I could have this solved very quickly.
