Cheat Engine

hey all new here and new with cheat engine...
My problem is that so far all cheat engines I have downloaded just crash at start up after roughly 1 minuet of waiting all I get is

"cheat engine has stopped working"

am I missing something ? some windows patch? dll? lol

im using windows 7 64

doubt its hardware
Phenom 2 quad 3.41
8gig ram
bags of free space

Make sure all (online) games are closed and then try it

if it still happens, try uninstalling your antivirus and/or firewall and reboot (if you don't reboot, they will still interfere)

Have you tried both the 32 and 64-bit versions of ce ? (check the start menu to find the 32-bit one)

the tutorial works, Im using comodo everything is set to disabled and also I closed it down ( I do not really wish to uninstall it ) yet it appears to be allowing it

and the strange part is the tutorial cheatengine-i386.exe works :s
EDIT:
tried both other exe's in the directory and they do the same

So it only happens after you attach CE to one specific process ?
If so, try to never run that process again (if it's your webbrowser: UNINSTALL it and reboot, as I said, they keep interfering till you get really rid of it. They lie when they say they are inactive)

I have not attached anything to nothing yet as like i said CE crashes except for the tutorial... you think I can use the tutorial exe to patch some memory address for example ammo ? and then set a little UI with an on/off ? or must it be one of the other two exe's which is not working :S

you're sure 5.6 also crashes ?

(also, comodo is known to cause debuggers to crash)

Cheat Engine.exe same thing crashes
cheatengine-x86_64.exe also crashes
cheatengine-i386.exe works

Just use the i386.exe for now

or try adding the x86_64.exe to the exclusion list in comodo. (According to some people that sometimes works)
