I'm putting new boards/ram/cpu in my dad/aunts case, rebuilding the old parts for my sisters, building one for my person with a high concentration of pigment in his skin friend, and upgrading myself with a 3.1ghz 8 core zambezi and 8 more GB ram.

Here is all the parts. Opinions? Dad/aunt have GPU and all so just needed a new mobo/ram/ and cpu because, why not. Giving my old phenom to them so I only have to buy 1 more, just to make them the same. Giving my friend a 4 core zambezi because I felt like it, and I want to make sure my cpu has twice as many cores. Only a 6770 because I'm building him a bare minimum. I picked him a zambezi though because Its 20 bucks more and has a stock fan and I'm lazy.

I know the FX series has a performance issue right now but as I have heard its not at its own fault but some kind of compatibility lacking with windows. MS put out a hotfix but then pulled it because, they made it worse like errthing else.

Don't you have a Phenom X4? Why would you get Bulldozer? Not much of an upgrade. Get a 6950/560Ti 448.

And it's not a problem with Windows or any OS. It's the fact that the BD Architecture is crap and needs to be revised thoroughly. Wait for the next Revision to get Bulldozer, or rather Piledriver.

What's it clocked @? IMO just oc it and get yourself a 7850 when it comes out. 7850 = die shrunk 6950 + 100mhz. it's supposed to be 200 bucks.

2.8ghz. These FX series OC to 4.0ghz on air and are all unlocked. AMD quit locking cpus with the FX series so I can increase the multiplier for a decent OC and not have to try, or even add voltage in some cases.
