It's bad business.
The first thing you have to do with your money when you win it is invest it in stock, startups, or charities before the government taxes it to nothingness.
If you had say 50 million in a bank account and did nothing with it you'd lose it all in 10 years.
So yeah, just spending money randomly instead of putting it to work will mean serious losses.
Alternatively you could be like me, if I won 50 million I'd withdraw it all to cash and bury it somewhere, and when tax collectors come around I'd be like fuck you I was robbed.
If that doesn't work, leave the country, it's headed to hell anyway.

Oh, I forgot, I would also buy myself a small forest and put a house right in the middle of it. That way I can throw parties without the cops coming by to shut it down. I wouldn't have any neighbors to complain about noise.
It would have a big swimming pool, a hot tub and a sauna of course, and lots of different rooms so there can be lots of different kinds of music (and/or dj's) playing at the same time.
Also lots of different restrooms an a few buckets in every room....
Oh, and every room should have like 30 little refrigerators where you can store your booze and lock it with a key so other people can't steal it (and I'd have a skeleton key of course).
And while I'm at it, why not just build a huge vending machine that's open 24/7 on the way to this house, with beer and munchies at regular prices.
