Cheat Engine

in the tutorial and when i have cheat engine up It wont let me type or click anything in it. I cant enter the value, click hex, change scan type. or anything when it pops up its just all al light gray color and the icon on my task bar has a small shield in the bottom right corner. I think its the admin shield symbol its a checkerboard blue and yellow color. how can i change this? I need to to be able to use cheat engine.

yep that worked thanks! but now when i scan no matter how many times it never ocmews yup with only one address. I got it there twice and changed the value like it said but it wouldn't let me move on. and the value didnt change. what am i still doing wrong? after the second scan none of the other scans ever show any addresses. and half the time the second scan doesn't show anything. when it does usually some of the addresses don't event have the exact value i set it to scan for.
