Hey,
I'm gonna buy a new laptop, but I'm only gonna use it for school (and music), don't plan on gaming with it.
Trying to get the cheapest one possible.
It should be able to run Photoshop, OpenOffice, VLC Media Player and Firefox at the same time. That's all.
How much RAM would I need for this?
And how good should my processor be?
I tried googling all this myself but couldn't find a clear answer...

Well for all the other programs you mentioned, you would only need like 2gb ram, but since you mentioned Photoshop, if your doing serious stuff on there, you should get at least 4gb ram. as for processor if you want to save money you could go for a dual-core. although you might need an independent gpu for Photoshop, so you might as-well get a core i3 second generation(sandy bridge), which comes with intel hd 2000 which should run photoshop with no problems at all.
